The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers swept their doubleheader against Paris, winning Game 1, 13-3 and Game 2, 4-3
Game 1: 13-3 (5 innings – 10-run rule)
BPCC’s offense was relentless, collecting 13 hits and scoring 13 runs to end the game early via the 10-run rule. Every player in the Cavaliers’ lineup recorded at least one hit.
Braylin Harris had two hits and an RBI, while Gianluca Montanaro, Jacob Poletto, and Hayden Peshoff each collected two hits and two RBI. Mason Sanders and Brandon Levy both launched home runs over the left field wall in the victory.
Jackson Reifel was dominant on the mound, throwing a complete game and allowing just one earned run to earn the win.
Game 2: 4-3 Win
The Cavs carried a 4-1 lead into the seventh inning before Paris rallied with two runs to make it a one-run game. In the top of the ninth, with runners on second and third, Jacob Poletto made an outstanding game-saving catch deep in right-center field to preserve the victory. Trent Lape earned the save.
Judd Funderburk threw 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball and Brandon Levy tossed a scoreless eighth.
BPCC managed just five hits in the contest, but two of them were solo home runs from Hayden Peshoff. Peshoff finished the day 4-for-6 with two home runs and four RBI while also flashing excellent defense at second base. Brandon Levy went 2-for-4 with an RBI and extended his hitting streak to 13 games.
The Cavaliers move to 22-14 and will return to action Tuesday at home against Angelina.
